John Henry Brookes International Scholarships Awarded for Academic Excellence

The Graduate School at Oxford Brookes University is pleased to offer the following Scholarships for international students wishing to undertake a full-time taught postgraduate master's degrees in September 2007.

*Awards of £3,200
*Awards of £2,000
*Awards of £1,000

Scholarships will be awarded for academic excellence and each award will be paid towards the full-time international tuition fee for a taught master's degree.These scholarships do not include a maintenance grant.

Who is eligible?
You should have or expect to have a good honours degree or equivalent from a recognised institution of higher education, or have experience which demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at honours degree standard.
Candidates receiving awards from other sources of funding which cover all their tuition fees will not be eligible for a taught postgraduate scholarship; eligibility is not affected by funding covering maintenance costs.
You must have accepted a place on a Masters course at Oxford Brookes University and have paid the required deposit. Deposits may be refunded if the candidate does not meet the academic standard required, does not obtain a visa to study in the UK or in exceptional circumstances.
You must meet the University's English language requirements or be accepted on the University's pre-sessional English language course.

How do I apply?
All candidates for the scholarships MUST complete the John Henry Brookes International Scholarship Scheme application form.

What is the deadline for applications?
The Graduate Office must receive scholarship applications from candidates by 1 June 2007. Late applications will not be accepted.
